Manual for teachers – Activities on gender stereotypes and violence prevention

This manual was developed as part of the SAFER “Systematic Approaches for Equality of Gender” project. SAFER aims to prevent and combat gender-based violence by applying the principles of positive psychology. It proposes a systematic approach that aims to cultivate essential skills necessary not only to combat and prevent gender-based violence, but also to promote people’s psychological and emotional well-being and enable them to create healthy bonds and social relationships.

Manual for educators

The handbook focuses on the techniques of managing one of the most controversial forms of diversity: sexual diversity, focusing on the social inclusion of students. In order to achieve this, it becomes essential to enhance the key competences of both students and teachers. In general, technical competences in the social field have been well described, however a definition of diversity management capacity for students and teachers is lacking. This handbook tries to fill this gap and promotes the inclusion of diversity management skills in school curricula.

Theacer’s Handbook

This manual contains two introductory texts and 15 activities that have been designed and tested by the various partner organizations in order to address the issues of diversity and non-discrimination in early childhood education. The activities revolve around four main themes:
• relationships between people of different origins
• communication and non-verbal language
• gender, sexuality and family structures
• body and health
Some of the activities have images and demonstration videos that we hope will be useful to those who intend to carry out the activities.
