The Capacity Building Workshops of the “Loveact – Living positive and intersectional sexuality education for gender-based violence prevention” project are taking place in the partners’ countries of the project (Italy, Spain, Belgium, Lithuania, Greece, France & Cyprus).
In particular, the majority of the Capacity Building Workshops on comprehensive sex education with teachers, educators, youth workers, professionals working with adolescents and young people, have been completed: in Italy by CESIE, in Spain by InteRed, in Belgium by The Square Dot Team, in Lithuania by the Diversity Development Group, in Cyprus by CSI, whereas in France, Elan Interculturel has completed the first one & scheduled the next one and Symplexis from Greece has scheduled it for this forthcoming May.
The workshops conducted were highly effective, as evidenced by the significant level of engagement from the trainees. They actively participated in various activities and discussions, demonstrating their eagerness to absorb knowledge and contribute to the sessions. All Loveact partners who were involved in organising and facilitating these workshops received positive feedback from the trainees, undescoring the effectiveness of the workshops in fulfilling their objectives.
Following the enhancement of the skills and acquired knowledge of the trainees/ teachers / educators during the aforementioned capacity building workshops, the next step of the project requires their involvement in the implementation of the comprehensive sex education activities on their schools with pupils & students.
In particular, in Italy and Spain, these activities are underway, whereas the remaining countries (Greece, France, Cyprus, Belgium, Lithuania) are in the process of organising and planning the activities with the trainees the following months.
