A few words about REBOOT NOW!
The initiative ‘REBOOT NOW – Prevention of Gender-Based Violence in Schools after Lockdown’ is coordinated by CESIE and implemented in five European countries: Italy –CESIE and Fondazione Hallgarten-Franchetti Centro Studi Villa Montesca, Greece – KMOP Social Action and Innovation Centre, Cyprus – Hope For Children CRC Policy Center, Slovenia – Znanstveno-Raziskovalno Sredisce Koper, and Bulgaria – ANIMUS Association Foundation.
For two years, we have worked intensively to implement psychological counselling desks at schools to support the recovery of young people and families from difficulties that arose from measures against the COVID-19 pandemic; mainly through positive actions that support the well-being, mental health and young people’s capacity-building for developing healthy relationships. We further developed an online platform collecting existing information and training materials for adults (school staff and families) and children, serving as an online access point to the counselling desk. At the same time, we organised awareness-raising actions addressed to stakeholders and the general public. Following a co-creation procedure, we established a Youth Advisory Board in each country to evaluate and provide insightful feedback on the materials and actions implemented.
